OVERVIEW
1. You haven’t signed up to Amuseworld yet Follow the instructions which appear on the screen. If you’re not signed up to Amuseworld, you won’t be able to play on the website! Sign up, it’s free! Back to top 2. You’ve already signed up to Amuseworld A. Create your own personal page! (MY PAGE) With your Muse id and password, you can access your own page, where you can: • Tell others about your hobbies, your likes and dislikes, (films, books, sports…) and what you are doing now • Change the look of your Muse, depending on how you feel today! • Choose a personalised background colour for your personal page • Print out your own Amuseworld cards to give to your friends • Invite your friends who are signed up to Amuseworld to visit your page • Send messages and virtual presents to your friends and to the Muses, Jeanne, Kate and Giulia! • Write messages on your friends' blackboards • Download Jeanne's screensavers to use on your own computer • Read about what's happening in France and around the world • And loads more! B. Create your own cartoons and play games! C. Discover Jeanne's world and the muses of the world! Change the look of your Muse Go to ‘My Page’, click on the button ‘Change my Muse’ then click on the different tabs according to the items you wish to change - Appearance: (skin, hairstyle, eye colour …), Clothes: (dresses, trousers, coats, shoes…), Accessories: (bags, scarves), and the Background which suits your look! Share your Muse id with your friends to send messages to each other via Amuseworld To invite your friends (only those friends you know are real!) and send messages to each other via Amuseworld, you will need to know your friends’ Muse id and they will need to know yours. - You can either print out a little card (go to My Page/ Sponsor your Friends) and give the card to your friends when you next see them (in the playground, in the park, at their house) and they can give you theirs in return - Or you can secretly whisper your Muse ids in each others’ ears! BE CAREFUL: you mustn’t tell anyone your password! Back to top Once you know your friend’s Muse id you can invite her to visit your page. All you have to do is type her Muse id into ‘Search’ in ‘Add a friend’ For example: Sophie-Swimmer (don’t forget the ‘-‘) Click on ‘SEARCH’. When you’ve found her, click on “ADD A FRIEND” Your friend will receive a message asking permission for you to add her to your page. If your friend agrees, her photo (or her Muse’s photo) will be added automatically to your page. In the same way, if one of your friends wishes to add you to her page, you will receive a friend request from her asking for your permission. BE CAREFUL: If the message is sent from someone you do not know, you should not accept the invitation. You should only accept friendship requests from people you know are ‘real’. If you know who has sent you the message, and you wish to be friends with them, click on ‘Yes’ in the message. Your photo (or your Muse’s photo) will be added automatically to your personal page. Send messages to your friends You and your friends who are already signed up to Amuseworld can send and receive messages on ‘My Page’. Once you have sent a friendship request and it has been accepted, just go to ‘Send a Message’, open your ‘Address Book’ and select the Muse id of the friends you wish to write to. Type your message and press ‘Send’. Top Tip: you can also send messages to your favourite Muses: Jeanne Poesie, Kate Melody and Giulia Fantasia. (They are automatically added to your list of friends) They will reply! Back to top Send a present to your friends You can send a virtual present to your friends. In your Inbox on My Page, all you have to do is write a message and attach a virtual present from the catalogue. Each week, more choices will be added to the catalogue, and you will be able to send new presents! You can choose to send a present either from the catalogue or from those you have already received. NEW! Every week, discover a new animated present! Animated presents are very rare, and will disappear at the end of the week to be replaced by different animated presents. You’ll have to be quick off the mark to catch them and send them to your friends! Collect the presents you receive on ‘My Page’ – when you are sent a virtual present, it will be automatically added to My Page, under ‘Presents Received’. Write messages and notes on your friends’ blackboards Visit their page and add a message to their blackboard (Any message you or your friends don’t like can be wiped off the blackboard) Respond to your friends’ announcements Birthdays, feelings, changes to their Muse…each update posted by your friends will be logged in ‘What’s New’ on ‘My Page’. Share your reaction to their news by writing on their blackboard – everyone will see your response! (Any message you or your friends don’t like can be wiped off the blackboard) Discover Jeanne’s World Coming soon: This section is only available in French at the moment. If you click on ‘Jeanne’s World’, an Activity Map will open up. You can then choose an area you wish to explore (Jeanne’s city, her bedroom, her school…) In these different areas, you can share in Jeanne’s activities, play games, complete quizzes, collect Amuseworld stars, discover a variety of different careers, and vote for your favourite drawings… In the library, you can discover a variety of books and puzzles. You can help Jeanne write a story, choosing the different elements that you’d like to see included in the story! There’s also the Book Club, where you can add the books you’ve read, and vote for your favourite books. You can also create and write your own stories. In the Dancing School you can discover the different styles of dance and print out and colour pictures of beautiful dancers. You will also find the ‘Dancing Club’ where you can add the different shows you have seen (to share with other Muses), write comments and vote for your favourites! Coming Soon: the railway station will open later in 2010! Back to top Collect Amuseworld Stars As you play the games and complete the quizzes in Jeanne’s World, you can earn Orange Stars. For every 10 Orange Stars you collect, you earn a Blue Star. You can use Blue Stars to ‘buy’ ‘Practical Items’. Discover the Muses of the World! Coming soon: This section is only available in French at the moment. Discover and collect the heroines of Amuseworld! They all come from a different country.. if you click on one of the muses on the world map you will discover many secrets about her life and her country. Play games Games are available on Jeanne's World or on the 'Games' page. Each week we publish news about what's happening in France and around the world. Click on 'Museweek' on 'My page' to read all about it! Sponsor your friends to join! Invite your friends to sign up to amuseworld.net! They need to know your Muse id so that they can enter it on the site when they sign up (this is important). You will be able to see the number of friends you have sponsored to join amuseworld.net on My Page! Come and see the dolls, their clothes, their books, as well as a selection of girls’ clothes, accessories and decorative items … Coming soon: This section is only available in French at the moment. Visit our on-line shop and discover Jeanne, Kate and Giulia’s dolls their books, and all our other products. 3. You subscribed a membership to amuseworld.net Activate your subscription code Once your parents have confirmed your subscription, you will receive an email with your subscription code. All you have to do is to visit the Amuseworld site, open your personalised page (‘My Page’ in the menu bar) and enter your code in ‘My Subscription’. Your subscription will be activated. Back to top 4. You’re having technical problems with the website Try to solve the problem Perhaps your computer needs a rest, so turn it off, wait a few moments and turn it back on again. Sometimes that’s all you need to do to get it going again! TOP TIP: amuseworld.net has several animations to make it an interesting and fun-filled site for you to enjoy. You may encounter some problems with the animations, especially if you have a relatively old computer, an outdated operating system or an older version of Internet Browser. Have a word with your parents! If you or your parents haven't received the registration confirmation email Ask them to check in their junk mail. If your parents don't approve your registration to amuseworld.net they can cancel it by simply clicking on the URL as indicated in the registration confirmation email. If your parents have deleted or lost this email, they can contact us via the 'Contact Us' button. If you have forgotten your password or you wish to change it If you have lost your password, go to the pink sign-in box on the home page where you can reset your password. If you wish to change your password, you can do so via the 'My account' section. Please note that you have to be identified and connected to amuseworld.net to be able to change your password. Your account You can't change your Muse id once created. If you wish to delete it, please let us know via the 'Contact Us' button. If the problem remains please contact us! Click on ‘Contact Us’, tell us what the problem is and leave your parents’ contact details. We will do what we can to resolve the problem and if necessary we will contact your parents.
